Barnes metalwork French escutcheon Artisan Made like nineteenth-century sculptor Edmonia Lewis—theOur latest custom metalwork is inspired by a keyhole, also known as an escutcheon, on display in Room 20 on the West wall. Dr. Barnes collected metal works and displayed them in ensembles alongside paintings to signal that craft requires the same level of artistry as painting.
