These SG Jr's were only made in the USA in Cherry or Black, but there were a limited amount made as a special run for Gibson's Japanese distributor, Yamano, thus, you almost never see this model in this color. Made in USA for the Japanese market. They are modeled after the SG made between 1965 and 1971 that has a soapbar P90, large "Batwing" pickguard and smaller

The Mark Hoppus bass was re-issued in 2006 with extensive changes
